tomorrow.. tomorrow I'll get fabric paint and attempt it properly!
I want to use all five colors (red, yellow, green, blue, purple) paint on it.. let's see if they have all the colors available.. or, top red bottom blue or vice versa heh.
Thanks 盧家宜 for the graphic!! ^^v
.. along with strangers on the train goods (thank you!) ;D catch up / reply later!
Then there was a ray of sunshine.
A FedEx van parked outside.
Then it rained again.
Raining inside.
The songs are so beautiful!
I love Season the first time round when it was played in the Nino+cat au cm.
and I love Everything even from the brief moments it was played in the cm.
Listening to both of them clearly now in full length, love them even more!
Moreover, how beautiful the PV is!
First viewing reminded me of a few Bump of Chicken's PVs.. the feel of a group of childhood best friends who grew up together (btw Bump of Chicken members are childhood best friends who grew up together lol)...
Back to Arashi, they've been more or less together for more than 10 years since juniors days.. aren't they also consider 'childhood friends who grew up together'?
Well, that's the feel that I got from watching the PV.
They're so natural and comfortable with each other, the five very different individuals as the most awesome cohesive group. Watching them singing facing each other in a circle with individual's movements so in synch.. watching them walking; viewing from the back, a group of brothers / childhood friends pursuing this path together.
Really brought me to tears lol.
At long last I've found Patricia Highsmith's "Strangers on a Train" in a bookshop!! xD
bought it! (couldn't wait for that one and only library copy which is currently out on loan.....)
Nino!Bruno here I come <3
edit: erk.. it's really distracting trying to get into Nino!GayBruno with all those online ads featuring SashaBarenCohen!GayBruno *shudders*
EDIT THE NEXT DAY:
Hahahah I've been reading Bruno as Nino and Guy as Sho-kun xDDDDD entertaining value skyrockets!
ps:
reply more and catch up another time.
It's been strange the past days.
and feeling very strange too.
Three more days until I'm out of a job.
I've been with this company for like a decade?
very very strange feeling. a bit lost.
hmmmmmmm.
catch up later.
Our super actor magician gamer prankster philosopher sharp tongue biggest arashi fan xD
Hope you have a happy happy day!
Nino Day for me was nice, I caught up with a Japanese friend (student here) for lunch - she's returning my Ryuusei DVD so yeah we talked about Nino over lunch and coffee xD
First photo shows the awesomely delicious salmon sashimi donburi, it's so delicious that I forgot to take a photo before I dived in lols! So here it is, nearly finished eating..
And then we had cake and coffee straight after lunch.
There're no yellow looking cakes so I picked the Shoberry cheesecake, I think Nino wouldn't mind heh it was delicious!
Okay, art wise, here's the puppy-eyed series (apart from the "strangers on a train" butai pic ^^) -
Which medium version(s) do you like best?
Following the same theme but to be different, I made this as a wrapped up art for the Nino matsuri:
a chibi-puppy-eyed Nino bookmark <3
Didn't have time to buy a yellow ribbon today for it, so I used a huge ribbon (from some chocolate box) instead xD
My hubby likes Kyoto so we went on a short trip via shinkansen <- way more comfortable than being in a boeing 777 lols.
He likes Japanese gardens (zen gardens, buddhist gardens etc) in the temples so we pretty much visited one after another. Lots of walkings and climbing up stairs and steps as most of the temples/gardens are up on the mountains/hills. Still, it was worth it.
My relatives in Malaysia who were worried about we might get out of breath climbing up those 273 steps in Batu Cave (which we did in less than 5 minutes) should know better.. Japanese climb stairs alot, for starter: railway and subway network lols.
I also like the old streets in Kyoto alas just didn't have enough time to explore nor take more photos.
Plus, it was quite cloudy and cold during those few days (esp on the 7th Jan) we visited Kyoto, so most photos look kind of gray.
Apparently it snowed the day after we went back to Tokyo. Anyway, some photos again in chronological order.
EDIT: Tokyo 20090109~ is uploaded at the end of this entry.
Actually it was still quite a lot of photos, even as summary highlights. Here's continue with the 2nd and 3rd day's photos:
Came back to Tokyo late night on 20090108.
It was cold and rainy on 20090109, met up with Sami in Shinjuku after her work finished, and we had delicious Hayashi Rice <33333 It's nice meeting up with Sami here's crossing fingers for more meetups in the future soon =))
(and yes we do look like a bit sisters xD)
On the next few days were a bit stressful discussing future plans with my hubby and in-laws.
In such uncertain economic climate it's understandable.
Will just have to work hard, stay calm and positive throughout.
Wish us all the best.
Catch up/ reply later! Missed you all!
As mom following us along to meet the in-laws we did quite a bit of sight seeing with her.
Arriving on new year's eve and attempted to go to the Asakasa temple on new year's day was challenging due to the crowds. Still, we had fun. Also went on a day tour on the 2nd day, again, lots of people (traffic on the way back took more than 6 hours lols) but quite fun. Was able to view Mt Fuji clearly and also went to strawberry farm to taste the sweetest strawberries lols.
Though, Arashi seem so far away albeit I'm on Arashi land... due to the lack of time to access the internet nor watch much tv. Still was able to catch a few Arashi moments here and there =)
Some photos summary in chronological order. I actually took too many photos so these are just some highlights. Kyoto trip and photos next.
Happy 2009 to All!
Have arrived back in Melb (hot 38 degree celcius Melb) after 24 hours of airplane travel and airport transit... pretty much K.O. lols.
Thanks for all the messages and comments!! Will get back to you later =)
Anyway, uploading some photos as summary of the trip, a very rush and packed trip again I think I need a holiday to recover from it lols.
On the night of Aibamas we went to the international aiport to take an overnight xmas flight and arriving in KL the next morning. The next few days in KL were surrounded by my relatives (dad's side 8 siblings, mom's side 6 siblings so you can imagine the number of aunties uncles cousins I have...) and then there's the food too. Must have put on a few kilos those few days... but it's good to see them all albeit quite rush/chaotic/at times stressful lols. So, apologies to Linda and Aina for not able to check internet and get your phone#s for meet up etc. There's always next time!!
So, anyway, some photos here. Will post entry/photos of the Japan trip next time.
Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Birthday, Dear Leader Ohchan <3
Thank you for being yourself as always.. we all become healed already just by looking at you =)
Hope you have a great day (fishing day?) and get pampered by your Ninochan, Shokun, Junkun, and Aibachan <3
Rush day at work, only had a little lunch time to have this little carrot cake at my work desk...
