My hubby likes Kyoto so we went on a short trip via shinkansen <- way more comfortable than being in a boeing 777 lols.
He likes Japanese gardens (zen gardens, buddhist gardens etc) in the temples so we pretty much visited one after another. Lots of walkings and climbing up stairs and steps as most of the temples/gardens are up on the mountains/hills. Still, it was worth it.
My relatives in Malaysia who were worried about we might get out of breath climbing up those 273 steps in Batu Cave (which we did in less than 5 minutes) should know better.. Japanese climb stairs alot, for starter: railway and subway network lols.
I also like the old streets in Kyoto alas just didn't have enough time to explore nor take more photos.
Plus, it was quite cloudy and cold during those few days (esp on the 7th Jan) we visited Kyoto, so most photos look kind of gray.
Apparently it snowed the day after we went back to Tokyo. Anyway, some photos again in chronological order.
EDIT: Tokyo 20090109~ is uploaded at the end of this entry.
Actually it was still quite a lot of photos, even as summary highlights. Here's continue with the 2nd and 3rd day's photos:
Came back to Tokyo late night on 20090108.
It was cold and rainy on 20090109, met up with Sami in Shinjuku after her work finished, and we had delicious Hayashi Rice <33333 It's nice meeting up with Sami here's crossing fingers for more meetups in the future soon =))
(and yes we do look like a bit sisters xD)
On the next few days were a bit stressful discussing future plans with my hubby and in-laws.
In such uncertain economic climate it's understandable.
Will just have to work hard, stay calm and positive throughout.
Wish us all the best.
Catch up/ reply later! Missed you all!
As mom following us along to meet the in-laws we did quite a bit of sight seeing with her.
Arriving on new year's eve and attempted to go to the Asakasa temple on new year's day was challenging due to the crowds. Still, we had fun. Also went on a day tour on the 2nd day, again, lots of people (traffic on the way back took more than 6 hours lols) but quite fun. Was able to view Mt Fuji clearly and also went to strawberry farm to taste the sweetest strawberries lols.
Though, Arashi seem so far away albeit I'm on Arashi land... due to the lack of time to access the internet nor watch much tv. Still was able to catch a few Arashi moments here and there =)
Some photos summary in chronological order. I actually took too many photos so these are just some highlights. Kyoto trip and photos next.
