YES I can see Toma in a detective role, his character design outfit (and the haircut too!) suits that image..... whereas our dear riida... I can't help but think of that particular shukudaikun episode where he balanced the law book on this head.. that's my image of lawyer!riida xD hence extra looking forward to how he portray this dark character!

I would have casted myself but I am a country or two away (just like i would have casted myself in hanakimi too HAHA). I have been wanting to see Ohno & Toma together since WSS. Riff and Action! It was that that made me notice Toma as Ohchan's underling and how Ohchan is always grabbing him from making some rash decisions.
Now that I think about it, why Toma? I mean they could pick anyone else, any non-Johnny's to act with Ohchan but why Toma? Still the chemistry with these two can be explosive.

Good question, why Toma? (maybe because if tbs picked Nino (or two arashi members in the same dorama again) fangirls everywhere won't be able to take it due to the Ohmiya context xDD)

and yes, on that note, SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCES BY OTHER ARASHI MEMBERS!! well, tbs love arashi so this wish could come true..!! btw it'd be awesome to have them singing the theme song too! It'd be a cool song base on the subject *_* (or a arashi + Toma song heheheh <3)
Why Toma? Its because he has the experience and huge acting talent but also Ohno junior and have worked with him. Ohno won't be drowned in his first leading role and first foray into drama. FIRST.. [gosh.. i'm nervous for him]. The casting/producer/Maou team are brilliant to cast him along side satoshi. It is as if they are building the drama around Satoshi's talent.
btw, for a person who's just getting to know Toma you've drawn him perfectly Koon. :)

In 2004, for the 2nd run of the Shounentai's play of "West Side Story" - a modern version of Romeo and Juliet set in the hood of Boston was it?, our three boys took over the lead roles: Sho as Tony, Jun as Bernardo and Ohno as Riff. Toma had been in the WSS from the 1st run but this time, he is casted to play Action - the lefthand man to Ohno's Riff. At the time when watching the Ohno-centric fancam, whenever there's no Ohchan, the person focused on the lefthand man and I keep asking "Wait, wait is that Toma?" because I thought Toma quitted Johnny's after Arashi debut or something (i didn't know then that there are those who stayed for years in johnny's even though they are undebuted). Somehow, I was captured and fascinated by this person and I keep asking around to aina and another friend over Toma haha. So yes, after 4 years, we are getting another Ohno and Toma working together from stage where they are pros to the tv screen... I-i have no words how things work out but I am thankful to the SPIES who hear my calls.
And yes, I am wishing for Arashi+Toma or Ohno+Toma theme song too along with Arashi guest appearances like AIBACHAN!!!
